FAQ

What is cosmetic tattooing?

Cosmetic tattooing is a process that places colour pigment beneath the skin using a sterile disposable needle or blade. It is a semi-permanent make up treatment, also known as micro pigmentation, that can give additional fullness, colour and shape to existing facial features.

How long does it last?

Many factors contribute to the length that your semi-permanent tattoo will last, with most results lasting 1-2 years. Everyone’s unique skin type will hold and react to pigment differently, therefore there is no guarantee on the final result. 4 weeks post treatment we book you back in for a perfection appointment to asses how your body reacted with the pigment and see if any touch up work needs to be done.

I’m under 18, can I get a cosmetic tattoo?

No, if you are under the age of 18 you are unable to get a tattoo.

Does it hurt?

A topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the area during the treatment and careful consideration is taken to ensure you feel comfortable throughout your experience. Although everyone’s pain tolerances vary, most patients experience little to no pain.

I have an old cosmetic tattoo by another artist, will you still tattoo me?

You must provide us with a photo of your previous tattoo for assessment prior to your appointment. Not all previous tattoos are fixable and can create more work for the artist. Therefore, it must discussed during the client consultation.
